On September 7, 2024, the much-anticipated grand opening of Payao Boulevard was officially marked by a ceremonial turnover from Hon. Ann K. Hofer, the Provincial Governor of Zamboanga Sibugay Province, to Hon. Joshua Carlo R. Mendoza, the Local Chief Executive of Payao. The event was attended by key figures, including Board Members Hon. Bancoro and Hon . Yangga of the first district, Hon. Ric Olegario BM of the second district, Hon. Joel J. Indino, Municipal Vice Mayor, Municipal Councilors, Hon. Carol R. Mendoza, ABC President, Department Heads and Rank and file LGU employees, as well as school principals and teaching staff and community members.

The event began with a warm welcome address from Hon. Joeper H. Mendoza, a member of the Sanggunian Bayan (SB). Messages of congratulations were delivered by Hon. Bancoro and Hon. Yangga, Board Members of the First District, and Hon. Ric Olegario, Board Member of the Second District, highlighting the significance of the new boulevard for the town’s development.The program concluded with a forwarding statement from Hon. Joel J. Indino, the Municipal Vice Mayor, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for the municipality of Payao with the inauguration of this vital infrastructure.
