Today, June 21, 2024, three Irrigators’ Associations from Region 9 were honored as Outstanding Irrigators Associations (IAs) during the National Irrigation Administration’s 61st Anniversary celebration, held at the NIA Central Office Covered Court, Diliman, Quezon City
The ๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐จ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ ๐๐, ๐๐ง๐. located in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay was awarded as the Outstanding IA Performer in the National Irrigation System (NIS) category. They received a Project Proposal amounting to 1.3 Million Pesos, a Php 300,000 livelihood program, and a cash incentive of Php 33,000.
The ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง-๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ง-๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ง ๐๐ from Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, also awarded as Outstanding IA Performer in the Communal Irrigation System (CIS). They received the same reward and incentive as the NIS winner.
The ๐๐ญ๐. ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ณ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ข๐๐จ ๐๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ง (๐๐๐๐) ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐, ๐๐ง๐. from Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur was awarded as the Outstanding IA Performer in the CARP-IC category, and they received Php 100,000 cash reward as incentive.
NIA-9 Regional Manager, Engr. June Nathaniel S. Plaza also received a recognition for the support given to the winning IAs. The winners were accompanied by EOD Manager Antonio Gujeling, field office managers, and IDP implementers.
Proudly representing their respective Irrigators’ Associations were the IA Presidents and officials. Notable attendees included Hon. Joshua Carlo R. Mendoza, Municipal Mayor of Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Hon. Rico Maata, SB member of Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, who lent their support and presence to this momentous occasion.
